The Climate Leap opens a new application round for public charging infrastructure this autumn

The next application round under The Climate Leap for public charging infrastructure is scheduled for 19 October–6 November 2026. Property owners and businesses considering investing in public charging stations should therefore start planning now.

Through The Climate Leap, applicants may receive funding covering up to 50% of the investment cost for establishing public charging infrastructure.

Who may be eligible?

The funding may be relevant for:

  • Property owners
  • Parking facilities
  • Retail locations
  • Customer parking areas
  • Visitor destinations
  • Other locations where public charging can create value for visitors and businesses

The earlier a project is identified, the better the chances of having enough time to assess technical requirements, calculate costs and prepare the application before the autumn application period.

Basic funding requirements

The requirements include:

  • At least four charging points per application
  • Charging capacity between 10 and 50 kW
  • At least 2 kW per charging outlet when using load balancing
  • The charging facility must be located within an eligible area
