Start charging with an RFID tag in the Aimo app

You can now use an RFID tag to charge your electric vehicle with Aimo. Link the tag to your account in the app, then start charging directly at the charger without having to use your phone.

How it works:

  • Open the Aimo app and go to Account → Tags and key cards
  • Tap “Add tag” (the pairing window remains open for 2 minutes)
  • Enter the connector number shown on the charger
  • Hold your RFID tag against the reader on the charger
  • Done! The tag is now linked to your account

When charging:

  • Connect the cable to your vehicle
  • Hold your tag against the reader on the charger
  • You will receive a confirmation in the app when charging starts

Why RFID?

RFID is quick, convenient and ideal when you do not want to use your phone every time you charge. It works just like charging via the app – but with a single tap.

  • The feature is now available in the Aimo app for both iOS and Android.
